Shock absorber on BMW X5 (E53) (05.2000 - 12.2006) / BMW 7 (E65, E66, E67) (10.2002 - 07.2008) / BMW Z3 Roadster (E36) (04.1997 - 01.2003) / BMW Z4 Roadster (E85) (02.2003 - 12.2005) / BMW 5 Saloon (E60) (12.2001 - 03.2010) cars should be changed, as a rule, according to one and the same procedure.
