Trains at Scarborough: Featuring 34067 ‘Tangmere’ - 27/06/2024

Today, me and my friend Owen took a trip to Scarborough, with the intention of seeing this years first ‘Scarborough Spa Express’ Charter service, with Steam Locomotive 34067 ‘Tangmere’ doing the honours.

A very warm summers day with many enthusiasts turning up to see this fantastic steam locomotive, along with 47802 that tagged along to support the passenger coaches.
After arriving, the train was soon taken to the sidings so the steam locomotive could be turned around for the return journey to Carnforth, in which the staff wasted no time in doing so, as the set returned to the station over an hour earlier than originally planned.

Throughout the day, regular passenger services from TransPennine Express are seen doing their regular shuttles to York and back, as well as some of Northern’s services going to and from Sheffield via Hull.
