Today, NBC's "TODAY" show revealed a whole new look for the program which is just a small part of a broader effort to restructure and regain the number one spot in the US Morning Show war. Matt Lauer is in Colorado covering the record floods, while Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, and Al Roker are live in the new Studio 1A. I could only get the first hour and part of the second before my affiliate WRC broke in with details of the mass shooting at the Navy Base in DC.

The set is getting mixed reaction. Facebookers are mostly hating on it, although most people who comment on the TODAY show facebook page usually are hating on the morning program. Other reaction is mostly positive, although many agree the desk is a little boring and the set is too orange. If TODAY listens to it's viewers, i'm guessing some of the orange will go away (a lot of it is just LED lights which can be changed at the flip of a switch) and the desk will probably be replaced over the next few weeks.

In my opinion, it's a good step for the struggling show. I like it!
