Succession's Sarah Snook will play an impressive 26 characters in a one-woman West End production of Oscar Wilde's A Picture Of Dorian Gray. She played the ruthless, career-driven Shiv Roy in a Golden Globe-winning turn in Succession.

And now Sarah Snook is set to take on an even bigger acting challenge by playing a staggering 26 characters on stage in a one-woman show in London's West End.

The Australian actress, 35, will star in an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's A Picture of Dorian Gray at the Theatre Royal next year, playing male characters including Gray and Basil Hallward as well as female characters such as actress Sibyl Vane.

Ms Snook, who was a relative unknown before landing the role as the youngest of the Roy children in HBO's Succession, will appear on stage in January 2024 for nearly 12 weeks in what is sure to be her most demanding acting endeavour yet.

Adapted and directed by Sydney Theatre Company's artistic director Kip Williams, the play has already had successful runs in Adelaide, Auckland and Melbourne with actress Eryn Jean Norvill starring.

Dorian Gray – An aristocratic young man who becomes obsessed with his youth and beauty and sells his soul to maintain them.

Lord Henry Wotton – Morally bankrupt man who manipulates Dorian for his own amusement.

Basil Hallward – An idealistic artist who is infatuated with Dorian and paints his portrait.

Sibyl Vane – A beautiful and talented actress who Dorian falls in love with and who is unable to carry on acting once she falls in love with him.

James Vane - Sibyl's brother who becomes suspicious of Dorian's intentions and cancels a trip abroad to look after her.

Mrs Vane - Sibyl and James Vane's mother who is captivated by Dorian's wealth.

Lady Victoria Wotton - Lord Henry's wife.

Alan Campbell - A chemist and former lover of Dorian's who is blackmailed into committing a crime.

Adrian Singleton - A former friend of Dorian's who frequents opium dens.

Duchess of Monmouth - A charming and clever member of the elite social set who is enamoured with Dorian.

Duke of Monmouth – The husband of the Duchess.

Lady Agatha – Henry Wotton's aunt who helps introduce Dorian into society.

Lady Narborough - A society lady who hosts parties and likes to gossip.

Lady Gwendolen – Henry Wotton's sister whose reputation is ruined by an affair with Dorian.

Mr. Isaacs - An art collector who desires to buy the portrait of Dorian Gray.

Mr. Hubbard - A man who witnesses the changes in Dorian's portrait.

Mrs. Leaf - Dorian's housekeeper.

Lady Alice Chapman - A woman who socialises with Dorian, daughter of Lady Narborough.

Mr Chapman - A lawyer who assists Dorian with legal matters.

Victor - Dorian's servant who is sent out on constant errands.

Alan Campbell's butler - A witness to Dorian's secret.

Duchess of Harley – An upper class woman who attends Dorian's parties.

Mrs Vandeleur - A society woman who is considered dowdy.

Mr Erskine - A friend of Basil Hallward and Lady Agatha's who meets Dorian at a dinner party.

Sir Geoffrey Clouston - The Duchess of Monmouth's brother who witnesses the changes in Dorian's portrait.
