In today's episode Dr. Janine Bowring, ND shares with us the benefits of coral calcium.

Coral calcium is a whole food source of calcium; it has a higher absorption rate due to its alkalinity. It is always better to be in alkaline state, the more acidic our body is, and the more our body is exposed to health concerns. Whole food coral calcium contains over 69 other trace minerals such as Rubidium (helps to further alkalize the body), and Boron (helps to decrease inflammation associate with rheumatoid arthritis).

Calcium is great for our teeth and bones but has a multitude of benefits because of the hundreds upon hundreds of chemical reactions in the body. The heart muscle is reliant on having the right amount of calcium, for anti-aging benefits we have to have the right amount of calcium and burning fat. When our body does not have enough calcium we go into something called lipogenisis, lipo meaning “fat” and genesis meaning “the making of”. Therefore if you do not have enough calcium in your body, you are making fat more than you should be, who knew!
