A federal judge on Friday ordered that immigration officials could not detain Kilmar Abrego Garcia one day after he was ordered to be released from an immigration center in Pennsylvania.

Early in the morning, supporters, including CASA leaders and community advocates, gathered outside the ICE Baltimore Field Office as Abrego Garcia arrived for a check-in 14 hours after he was released from detention.

Officials cannot re-detain him until the court conducts a hearing on the motion for the temporary restraining order, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis in Maryland said.
