This Lithuanian act offers an immersive journey through the shadows of depressive black metal, enriched with nuanced hints of hardcore. While last year’s single introduced the seeds of this sound, this release marks a significant step forward in both compositional maturity and instrumental execution.

Exuding a deeply melancholic atmosphere, its depressive elements blend seamlessly with bursts of visceral aggression that nod subtly to hardcore influences, especially the vocals style. The interplay of these styles feels more intentional and eclectic compared to the band’s earlier material, which, though intriguing, leaned heavily on a rudimentary fusion of these same genres.
As each instrument serves its purpose within the overarching emotional narrative, from the bleak tremolo-picked melodies to the crushing rhythms and anguished vocal delivery. This synergy results in a soundscape that feels deeply personal, as if inviting listeners to confront their own reflections in its cold, haunting mirror.
