Alaska Road Trip - Day 15: Teslin Lake Yukon Territory to Tok Alaska

On day 15 of our Alaska Road trip, we leave the Teslin Lake Government Campground in the Yukon Territory of Canada and head further up the Alaska Highway, finally making it to Alaska!

We stop to make lunch in a little rest stop with beautiful views of the Kluane mountains before driving along the border of Kluane National Park, a park with no roads in or out of it.

While still in the Yukon, we see Grizzly Bears for the first time. The road is extremely rough, full of potholes and frost heaves.

After finally arriving in Alaska, we learn that our originally intended stop, Deadman Lake Campground, is in the middle of a construction zone, and decide to drive an extra hour to stop at the Tok River State Recreation Site instead.

Upon setting up camp, we discover some carnage in the back of the trailer. The straps holding the generator, pizza oven, and tables came undone. All suffer minor damage, and fuel has spilled everywhere, setting off the CO2 alarm.

After cleaning things up and repairing the pizza oven, we make homemade pizza for dinner before settling in for the night.
