Jessica Lange Biography, Pt. 3

Описание к видео Jessica Lange Biography, Pt. 3

Jessica Phyllis Lange (born April 20, 1949), is a multi-award-winning American motion picture, stage, and television actress. The Cloquet, Minnesota native made her inauspicious film debut playing King Kong's pulchritudinous leading lady in Dino De Laurentiis' critically panned blockbuster, KING KONG (1976). Through hard work, steely determination, and an abundance of talent, Lange was able to transcend the "blonde bimbo" image that was first thrust into the public consciousness, and emerged as one of the most acclaimed and respected actresses of her generation. Along the way, Lange racked up a total of six Academy Award nominations, winning two, for Best Supporting Actress for TOOTSIE (1982) and Best Actress for BLUE SKY (1994).

After spending the last decade working intermittently in various low profile but critically lauded projects, Lange came back with a vengeance in 2009 with her delightfully daft, Emmy-winning performance as 'Big Edie Beale' in HBO's "Grey Gardens." She made an even bigger splash a couple of years later with her devastating, take-no-prisoners portrayal of 'Constance Langdon' in FX Network's "American Horror Story" (2011), nabbing an awards trifecta of the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Emmy in the process.
