Cheap fans or utility heaters all use a very simple motor fitted with bushings. When those bushings lose their lubrication they get noisy as they wear and eventually can seize up. If you catch it in time, though, you can re-lubricate the bushings and get much more use out of the fan. In this video I'll show you how I complete this process on both a fan and a utility heater that I keep in my shop. You could also do this as preventative maintenance.
