A single embryo SPLITS! Early identical twin findings at 5 & 6/7 weeks gestation.

Sometimes a single embryo will split after transfer. Here we see the appearance of a single sac in the uterus with two yolk sacs! This will likely develop into identical twins with separate amniotic sacs but one overall chorionic sac. This may happen approximately 1% of the time after single embryo transfer.
