Rings of Power follows through with a pretty common technique within storytelling for fantasy: Beginning with a prologue. To say that Rings of Power has premiered to somewhat of a mixed reception is an understatement. However, the storytelling seems to struggle a bit more than you would think from a show that has cost so much to make. Some of those problems can be found in the introductory sequence. Leaving us asking the question: Does it really need this prologue?
