Partly because his mother was a former actress, he was influenced by her and entered the entertainment business when he and his older sister applied for an audition when he was in his second year of high school. After graduating from high school and then from an acting school, he got a job as a role in stage acting; that was his debut. It was in the role of Karma in ``Innocent World - Millennium Night and Ten Billion Encounters'' produced by Be WitHh.
In Feb 2016, Keita played the role of Alba in Otome Stage Vol. 3 ``Mafia More☆'', which was his first leading role and first acting as the director. He announced he would continue his freelance activities as a stage actor.
Keita is the youngest of four siblings (one older brother and two older sisters). His hobbies are traditional Japanese martial arts, baseball, and swimming. He competes as a swimmer in the prefectural tournaments in freestyle. Before entering the entertainment industry, he was thinking of becoming a men's Harajuku hairdresser in Tokyo but soon that thought shifted to acting. He is shy, and when he talks about his next stage performance, he says, "He regularly meditates to get rid of stage fright."
