Anthony Babu, a sophomore at Concord Carlisle High School in Concord, MA, performs in the final round of the NSDA National Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa. He was given 30 minutes to prepare and memorize a speech answering the question, "Is North Korea preparing for war against South Korea?"

He received first place ranks from ten out of the fifteen judges in the final round. He is the first sophomore to win International Extemp in the 99 years since the inception of the NSDA. He won the final round by 10 ranks and the event by 33 ranks.
