notes on this game:
"OX" that appears after the having defeted KARNOV the final-boss with undefeted as the secret-character, OX gives a bonus-score more than twice as much as a normal enemy when viewed as a stand-alone game. however, you should build up a score round by round without "OX" by intentionally losing at the 1st round, if you would aim to make a true high-score record seriously. so, you can gain more score, and the total will be higher finally. it is at least 30000pts or more, and it is also over 100000pts if you use a character like MIZOGUCHI that has a big-scoring move.

it is hard to understand because the total results are just only displayed at once without specific details, but the bonus-score you can gain after having defeated an enemy of its round includes not only "time" and "life", but also a bonus-score added based on any kind of attack which suceed to hit against the enemy in a round. this special bonus-score is added as "+200pts" per a kind. special-moves, normal-attacks, and grapplings are all "+200pts" as well. therefore, you can gain a bonus-score much more by using many different kinds of attacks as possible when you will win, but it is disabled if it is blocked.

and also, you can gain a special bonus-score with "+2000pts" only if you win the 2nd round. so, you must always make an intentionally losing at the 1st round to avoid conflict with the condition that you make to increase the total number of rounds by intentionally losing.

notes on the highest scoring character:
contrary to what is commonly said, the highest scoring character in this game is CLOWN as you can see in the below videos.

you can gain overwhelmingly higher score-efficiency by using a character who has a LP/LK that gives +500pts, rather than you use MIZOGUCHI's "Gottsui-Tiger-Bazooka" that gives +5000pts per a shot. 1535000pts is just the limit, and more than 1540000pts is impossible even if you have a perfect command of MIZOGUCHI. because the damage of "Gottsui-Tiger-Bazooka" as the scoring source is too big, you can not gain a score as much as it looks like.
