Step 1: Select the layer you want to apply sub-bass too (usually a bass sound, or the master).

Step 2: Go to EFFECTS / SPECIALIZED / SUBBASS

Step 3: Choose from the dropdown of presets to audition the controls, and finetune until you have your desired sub level/depth. You can easily overdo it, so use with caution.

Step 4: Shape your sound using the options on the right.

Step 5: Start recording :).

While I will admit this process slows me down, as I'd rather have full kits spread across my keyboard and then separate/tweak them onto their own layers.. However having said that, I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sounds, especially the low end/tail/808feel etc.

Fun to use if you don't have other samples or efficient multi-sample instances yet, or simply want to add a curve ball into your production.
