So after one month if I have that Call Option Contact, I can buy this Yo-Yo for ₹1,00,000 even if the price of the Yo-Yo have increased. And in this case Gattu is in the loss because he has to sell me the Yo-Yo for ₹1,00,000 even though the CMP of the Yo-Yo is let say ₹2,00,000 right now.

But what if after one month, the price of the Yo-Yo is below ₹1,00,000? In this case, ₹10 which I have paid to Gattu as premium is his profit. And I don’t have any compulsion to buy Yo-Yo from Gattu only. So if the price of this Yo-Yo is less than ₹1,00,000 after 1 month then I can simply buy it from the open market as well for less.

And similarly in the stock market when you execute Call Options, the underlying asset is shares instead of Yo-Yo!
