Hormesis hosted the first ever sanctioned NXL 1v1 duel, set up right next to the Hormesis booth on the vendor row. Every matchup drew a crowd and the energy never dipped all weekend long.

The 1v1 Hormesis Duel format is pure gunfighting. No teammates to hide behind, just skill, timing, and composure. It’s one of the best ways to sharpen X-Ball fundamentals and seeing it brought into an official NXL environment felt like a big step forward for the sport of Paintball.

One of the highlights was watching 16 year old Rion from the DEFY Kidz, compete in his first ever Hormesis Duels. Going up against older, more experienced players, he held his own and showed exactly why this format is such a valuable proving ground.

Huge credit to Oliver Lang and the entire Hormesis team for taking an idea and turning it into something real, organized, and meaningful for players and fans alike. We believe in the duel and we’re excited to continue to support growing the game of Paintball.
