After 62 years as the most iconic independent recording studio, owner Paul Camarata sits down with Drew Dempsey of DFD productions to discuss all the history inside these walls! Beginning with its inception by father Salvador "Tutti" Camarata tracking & composing exclusively for Walt Disney, to beginning in the early 1960's as a rock n' roll house with The Beach Boys Pet Sounds, rock legends The Doors recording 4 groundbreaking albums as well as the story of the night Jim Morrison broke into the studio and vandalized it. The bands that would follow would be Led Zeppelin working on 2 and 4 here, Janis Joplin, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones, Van Halen recording 5 albums, Toto, Smashing Pumpkins, The Black Keys, Elliot Smith, Mark Ronson, Red Hot Chili Peppers and who could forget Prince's 10 yr non stop run of recording & so much much more!!!
