I guessed an event was happening, on discovering the LibDem ‘battle’ bus parked in Newbury Bus Station (Interchange). But this was not enough transport for Ed Davey’s whole entourage, needing two dozen more cars, parked in Victoria Park. How ‘green’ are the LibDems?

The local LibDems had organised a publicity event, featuring Ed Davey (Leader of the LibDems) and the Newbury Constituency PPC (Lee Dylan) playing tennis in Victory Park tennis courts.

Their bouncer (Cllr Erik Pattenden) would not permit riff-raff citizen reporters to enter, but no matter, there were holes in the fence.
