Thomas Weekend shuttle trains

Описание к видео Thomas Weekend shuttle trains

During Glenbrook Vintage Railway's Thomas Weekend on 9 and 10 November 2013, DMU shuttles ran from Papakura to Glenbrook for the first time since 2008. Ww 644 and Mainline Steam's Bagnall, posing as Thomas the Tank Engine, also feature. The DMU shuttles were a result of goodwill from all parties involved; KiwiRail waived track access fees for the services, while Transdev staff running the train were all volunteering for the day. Proceeds from fares for the service (a gold coin donation) is to be donated to the Starship Air Ambulance Fund by Transdev. This was all at no cost to the GVR -- a huge thanks to KiwiRail and Transdev on their behalf.

As for the music at Mission Bush, my camera's microphone had decided just then that it was a static noise generator rather than a sound recording device -- sorry about that.

(Of course, you knew I was going to use this intro. :P)
