Communal Tension Simmers In Karnataka's Hubli, Row Over Youth's Social Media Post

Communal tension is now soaring in Karnataka's Hubli late night after a youth has posted a controversial picture of a saffron flag erected over a mosque. The police allegedly detained the youth who made a provocative post and led a group of Muslim communities to gather outside the old Hubli station and shout out the slogan after evening prayer. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has spoken on the Hubli incident and has called it organized. At midnight 1000 people surrounded and tried to attack the police station, the person who posted a provocative post has been arrested so far.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has assured action on Hubli violence. The person who posted that provocative post on social media has already been arrested and the situation is currently under control.
