The first of year Red Flag Wildfire Alert for southeast Arizona was issued for April 1, 2025. Don't be fooled by the beautiful weather. The humidity is low, the winds are gusting, and the brushes and grasses are tinder-dry.

Now is a good time to digitize all your important documents and confirm they are saved to the cloud. Things you might want to include are passport/travel cards, banking and investment account info, insurance policies (home, car, etc). Also it's a good idea to video record the contents of your house and upload the video to a cloud storage site (this last point I forget to include in the video).

And speaking of emergencies, now is a good time to complete your Advance Medical Directive, and share that with your loved ones.
