As we poured the water into the river to clean it out, we apparently saw our reflections in the water.
I appeared normally in the same outfit I was wearing, but Maribel seemed a little... off.
Maribel's reflection showed her in a gigantic, pimped out gown that largely resembled Queen Yukari.
"Let me ask, are you descended from Queen Yukari," I asked.
"Yes, I know that," she replied.
In her reflection, I noticed something in the background. There was a giant golden mirror that looked like it was created by the Goddess of Beauty.
The mirror looks like it was stolen by a corrupt youkai-born, making it look wicked.
All of a sudden, a small aura arose from the river, and began to rise into the sky. When the aura disappeared, a huge storm formed.
When we tried to run for safety, Maribel fell into the river. I was concerned she might vanish, so I grabbed her hand as her fall pulled me in.

The namesake for my next Hifuu album releasing this December lifts its name from this very song. Writing music without a fresh mind can be complicated, but I later realized that you can get productive if all you do is play a two or three-note chord, setting the tone of the song. I've seen that work in many songs I've written where I didn't take inspiration from existing works (other than for instruments).
