The subject is equipped with minimal recording gear—a low-light, handheld video camera—and is tasked with conducting a 18-minute continuous traverse of the location. NOTE: The recorded timeline is contingent solely upon subject movement. Stasis invalidates the log.
CRITICAL MANDATE: Absolute silence must be maintained throughout the duration of the recording. Any audible vocalization, reflexive cry, shout, or uncontrolled sound detected via the recording equipment’s integrated microphone will be logged as an Immediate Log Termination Event, requiring a full memory wipe and the commencement of a new observation cycle.
The environment within Pineview is characterized by erratic, highly volatile sensory anomalies—visual and auditory disturbances that manifest dynamically and without pattern. The entity, or entities, within the forest are known to react to noise.
This log is the record of an attempt to survive the mandated time. Break the silence, and the log is destroyed. This is the complete testimony of his investigation, presented with no cuts or commentary. Viewer discretion is advised.
