"The House of the Rising Sun" is a traditional folk song, telling of a life gone wrong in New Orleans. The most successful version, recorded in 1964 by the English rock group The Animals, was a number one hit. I have played and sung this tune for over 50 years, and today seemed like a good day to just play it again.....bluesy, raw and low-down and dirty. Both of the cats liked it, and suggested that I put it here on YOUTUBE again, after 5 years since the last version. I do dig the blues.....and the Animals sure did it right. However, as Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong once said "If you have to ask what the Blues are, you ain't never had 'em!" Boy, that's the whole truth right there. "Life is Good", here, where music lives, on 8/27/2021, in Tune Town, with my bluesy Hammond Organ, and lots of Love, baby. Thanks for listening, and Happy Weekend. 🌴🌴🎹😎
