Making My Own e-Kayak System (and You Can Too!)

Designing, assembling, and installing an electric motor on my Hobie Lynx kayak to save over $1000! Don't be intimidated, this is absolutely a project you can DIY at home.

I was shocked at how much money companies are charging for a repackaged Blue Robotics T200 thruster and battery. With just a 3D printer, the Blue Robotics thruster and Thruster Commander kit, and some typical electrical components, I motorized my kayak for a fraction of the cost of buying a similar system.
