The market is located in a 19th century building designed by Spanish architect Joaquín Rucoba. The MERCADO CENTRAL de Atarazanas building has a very distinctive architecture. The main decoration of the building is the large Moorish entrance arch of the Renaissance era and the colorful ship stained glass window.
