A chamada aberta para a adaptação virtual da performance Musicircus de John Cage, recebeu 47 trabalhos de 16 cidades e 4 países. Alguns dos vídeos podem ser vistos na íntegra pesquisando pela #kinobeatmusicircus no Instagram. A partir dos vídeos recebidos, foram criadas duas versões para uma peça final, a primeira aqui disponível, recria de forma mais aproximada uma experiência presencial de Musicircus, com todos os participantes ocupando o mesmo espaço (tela) em apresentações simultâneas. Todos os vídeos enviados foram usados na íntegra, sem cortes, respeitando a duração e proposta definida pelos criadores. A disposição dos participantes em uma tela mosaico, é mais um elemento que emula a proposta presencial da performance.

Uma das intenções originais de Musicircus, era o de diluir o ego criador e individualista do artista, estimulando colaborações aleatórias e permitindo que o público também fosse um criador, ao decidir as suas próprias escolhas e combinações dentro de um circo anárquico de opções. Ao comentar sobre o jogo de embaralhar músicas e sons da versão original, Cage sentenciou: “Você não vai ouvir nada: você vai ouvir tudo”. Deslocando o comentário para esta experiência audiovisual e virtual, complemento com: Você não vai ver nada: você vai ver tudo.

A segunda versão da obra segue um caminho distinto, e será divulgada nos próximos dias.

The open call for the virtual adaptation of John Cage's Musicircus performance, received 47 works from 16 cities and 4 countries. Some of the videos can be viewed in full by searching for #kinobeatmusicircus on Instagram. From the videos received, two versions were created for a final piece, the first available here, recreates more closely a live Musicircus experience, with all participants occupying the same space (screen) in simultaneous presentations. All the videos sent were used in full, without cuts, respecting the duration and proposal defined by the creators. The disposition of the participants in a mosaic screen, is another element that emulates the face-to-face performance proposal.

One of Musicircus' original intentions was to dilute the artist's creative and individualistic ego, stimulating random collaborations and allowing the audience to be a creator as well, in deciding their own choices and combinations within an anarchic circus of options. When commenting on the game of shuffling songs and sounds from the original version, Cage said: "You will not hear anything: you will hear everything". Moving the comment to this audiovisual and virtual experience, I complement with: You will not see anything: you will see everything.

The second version of the work follows a different path, and will be released in the coming days.
