Massive Corruption Uncovered in Jamui: How Government Land was Illegally Sold to Private Parties!
A sensational land scam has been unearthed in the Jhajha Block of Jamui district, Bihar, involving high-ranking officials and a deep-rooted land mafia syndicate. Following a rigorous investigation directed by the District Magistrate, a formal FIR has been lodged against the then Circle Officer (CO) Amit Kumar Ranjan and two revenue officials, Avdhesh Kumar and Ramanand Das.
The "Double Standard" Modus Operandi
The investigation revealed a shocking pattern of corruption. Initially, several applications for land mutation (Mutation/Dakhil-Kharij) were rejected by these very officials, stating that the plots were 'Gair Mazarua' (Government Land). However, in a complete breach of official duty, the same land was later mutated into the names of private individuals. This proves a pre-planned conspiracy to grab government property and sell it for personal gain.
The Scale of the Scam
The scam spans several acres across various regions of the block, including the high-value Nawadih Mouza in the Municipal Council area.
Current Action: The current CO, Nisha Singh, has initiated the process to cancel 92 illegal mutations identified in the preliminary probe.
The Buyer's Crisis: Many innocent buyers who purchased these lands after seeing the official mutation receipts are now facing huge financial losses as their properties are being reclaimed by the government.
The Investigation: A joint team formed by the DM discovered that the officials knowingly violated rules for the benefit of land mafias.
