All About Laundry Boosters - A Dry Cleaners Laundry Booster Recipe

Описание к видео All About Laundry Boosters - A Dry Cleaners Laundry Booster Recipe

Here are some tips from a dry cleaner on laundry boosters. Overall they are a wonderful addition to detergent, however they MUST be used with a detergent. They will not do much on their own. Check out my recipe at the end of the video for best results.

1) Powdered oxygen bleaches (sodium percarbonate) cannot be beat when it comes to brightening garments, whitening whites, and removing the color of remaining stains. For best results soak your garments in this with hot water.

2) Borax (sodium borate) is excellent at softening hard water. When the water is too hard, or filled with minerals, it messes up the pH of the wash water which makes your detergent less effective. Try adding some Borax to your washer wheel to combat this!

3) Washing soda (sodium carbonate) usually is the first ingredient of ‘green’ or ‘diy’ detergents. It’s excellent at boosting the power of detergent and helps with odor and stain removal.

4) Ammonia can be added to laundry loads which have lots of stains. Similar to washing soda, it helps to improve the detergents power with stain and odor removal. I use it rarely with heavily soiled garments.

At the end is my recipe! I love using a scoop of my booster recipe for loads that need some extra love:

2 parts washing soda
1 part Borax
1 part sodium percaronbate

Happy cleaning 😊
