You may be surprised to find that there is quite a difference in quality when shopping for LED holiday lighting products. From the retail or novelty products at your local big box store, to the commercial or premium grade products we offer, and everything in between.
What you typically find at your local big box stores are sets with removable led bulbs. This type of product is usually not the best quality, and is sometimes manufactured by off-brand factories. Often, the inferiority of the product may not be visually apparent as it can be in the form of inferior components used in producing the strands -- using thinner copper wiring, low quality plastic moulds, and cheaper LED chips. Another problem is these stores typically only bring in a limited selection of bulb styles and colors for the holidays, and once the product is gone they cannot, and you cannot get more.
So, what are the major differences between what we here at LED Holiday Lighting.com offer, and other products out there?
1 pc. Bulb construction:
All of our commercial and premium strands have a 1-Piece, LED bulb construction, which means that the LED chip is sealed inside the bulb cover, resulting in a moisture-resistant construction. If moisture comes in contact with either the bulb socket or the LED chip, it could cause the bulb to fail. This is the number one issue with having replaceable bulbs or 2-Piece bulb construction sets. The LEDs themselves are rated for up to 50,000 hours, so you want to make sure that the LED is protected and that the sockets and wiring are of premium construction.
Color consistency:
Have you ever purchased White LEDs, spent time putting the lights up, and then when you turn them on, your excitement turns to disappointment, as you realize some of the strands, or even some of the bulbs within a strand, are not all the same color white? We work hard to control our color consistencies by providing our factories with color samples and color temperatures to insure consistent color in our strands and bulbs.
Or, maybe you purchased a Multi-Colored LED strand and when you plug it in, you realize that it has mostly Red, Yellow, and Orange bulbs, with only a couple Green and Blue bulbs mixed in? Lesser quality sets will use more of the less expensive colored LEDs in their multi's to cut down on costs. We specify even color distribution to our factories on all Multi-Colored sets, which means you are getting what you paid for.
Full-Wave rectified:
All of our commercial and premium strands are full-wave rectified for a flicker free, super bright, consistent light. All of our commercial and premium strands are dimmable and are compatible with the use of lighting controllers.
Reliability:
We only order from the best factories, with whom we have had relationships with for the past 10 years. These factories offer UL approved , RoHs compliant, and Energy Star tested and rated products. They have never experienced large manufacturer defects or product recalls.
