This is a solo version of the song Poor Boy recorded on a 3 string cigar box guitar. Blues Cigar Box Guitar was getting popular at the time I recorded this video Back in December 2019 when released this video on my YouTube Channel.

I had no idea that it would take off the way it did in popularity. I have always felt that I have done the vocals a lot better on other versions that I recorded after this 2019 version. I have tried to record this video using the same vocal phrasing as close to the 2019 version. The Poor Boy Blues Theme has been used for years. The oldest version I could find comes from Gus Cannon in 1927. My version has been inspired by such great Mississippi Delta Blues Men. "Poor Boy Blues", or "Poor Boy, Long Ways From Home", is a traditional blues song that has been cited as one of the oldest in the Blues genre. As with most traditional blues songs, there is great variation in the melody and lyrical content as performed by different artists. However, there is often a core verse containing some variation of the line "I'm a poor boy a long way from home."

This was recorded At Jigg’s Landing In Bradenton Florida. Steve Arvey is using a custom 8 fretted to the octave guitar made by Rusty Taylor In McDonough Georgia with Killer Strings 42/32/22 Made in The USA.
