About 90% of the leaks in factory-built hot tubs are found in the relatively accessible equipment area at loose connections such as pump unions or heater unions or at worn out pump shaft seals. About 10% of leaks are somewhere back in the cabinet hidden in the complex pipes and plumbing and often buried under spray-foam insulation. Finding leaks in the cabinet of a portable hot tub can sometimes be a challenge. After inspecting and eliminating the equipment area and all four sides of this hot tub, jacking it up and crawling under it was the only option. This is how I find leaks in the bottom of portable hot tubs.
