BOSS DS-1 Takes On MXR Badass '78 In EPIC TONE Showdown!

Hey everybody Damon D here and in this video I demo the world famous Boss Ds-1 and the MXR Badass '78 distortion pedals. These pedals are popular choices for guitarists looking to add some extra crunch and distortion to their sound. Here are some key differences between the two pedals:

• Tone: The Boss DS-1 has a classic distortion sound that is somewhat bright and crisp, while the MXR Badass '78 has a warmer, more organic tone that is reminiscent of classic rock and blues. The MXR also has more tonal shaping options, with a 3-band EQ that allows you to adjust the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies.

• Gain: The DS-1 has a fairly high gain level, which can produce a lot of distortion at higher settings. The MXR has a more moderate gain level, which makes it better suited for classic rock and blues tones.
