28 CLOSEUP POLDERBAAN ARRIVALS | Amsterdam Schiphol Plane Spotting (EHAM)

Welcome to Amsterdam Schiphol, one of the biggest and busiest airports in the world. Located just 9 kilometers southwest of Amsterdam, Schiphol is the home base for KLM, who account for the majority of the airport's traffic. However, Schiphol still attracts a plethora of other airlines from dozens of countries around the world, giving the airport some very diverse traffic. In addition to its great lineup, Schiphol provides amazing unobstructed and closeup views of the aircraft arriving and departing on the airport's many runways. As a result, Schiphol has become known as a plane spotters heaven.

This video focuses on arrivals on Schiphol's Polderbaan runway (18R-36L). Polderbaan is the longest and busiest runway, handling arrivals during southern flow, and departures during northern flow. I've visited Schiphol many times in my life, but I never found the time to spend a day at one of the famous spots and film the action. That changed earlier this month when I found myself traveling through Schiphol yet again, however, this time with a 16 hour layover. It's safe to say that I was not let down during my first spotting session here, and I can't wait to come back someday. So sit back, and enjoy the sights and sounds of Schiphol's Polderbaan Runway!
