[Encyclopedia of Local Korean Culture] Steamed Squid
Steamed squid is a dish cooked with fresh squid caught in the waters of Ulleungdo Island. This dish does not require a special cooking method. To make the dish, wash the live squid and steam in a steam cooker. Once the squid is cooked, cut the squid into bite sized pieces, and eat with red chili paste with vinegar. Steamed squid stimulates the appetite and squid ink and viscera go well together.
