Alport Castles - The Peak District's BEST Kept Secret!! | UK's Largest Landslide!

Hey everyone! In this video we hiked up to Alport Castles - one of the Peak District's BEST kept secrets! The UK's largest landslide is an epic feature of Alport Dale and once you are standing inside the bowl you will really get a sense of the scale of this place! At half a mile long it is huge!!

Another great thing about Alport Castles is that you may very well have the place all to yourselves! It is much more remote than other prominent features of the Peak District and therefore much less visited. We were the only ones there for much of our 2 hour stay and that was on a gorgeous day! It is well worth the 60 to 90mins hike to get there from Fairholmes Car Park in the Upper Derwent Valley.
