We use the lowest level of stimulation to get the dogs attention. Working on momentary stimulation we repeatedly give stimulation until the dog looks to us. At that moment stimulation stops and we praise. In the first lesson I will then back up, the puppy knows this as a cue to come to me. After several repetitions I will use the Ecollar for leash manners. I will apply stimulation when I want the puppy to walk with me and when I want the puppy to stop walking. We continue to give praise, reward for compliance and help the puppy with leash guidance as needed.
