Geopolymer Manufacturing | Basic Process of Making Environmentally Friendly Geopolymer Binder

Описание к видео Geopolymer Manufacturing | Basic Process of Making Environmentally Friendly Geopolymer Binder

This is the basic way of making geopolymers (as proposed by Prof. Joseph Davidovits) from my books available on Amazon (https://www.amazon.de/Basic-Geopolyme.... It has a density of around 1.7 to 1.8 g/cm² (no oven drying), with quartz sand around 2.3 g/cm³ and a strength of at least 50 MPa.

Recipe
I. 10g metakaolin
II. 9.1g Na-waterglass with SiO2/Na2O = 3.3 and 35 % w/w solids.
III. 1.7g NaOH
IV. 2.5g H2O

Step 1: Mixing the activator/hardener solution (waterglass plus's NaOH plus water)
Step 2: Mixing the slurry/cement (metakaolin plus activator)
Step 3: Mix in the sand and gravel
Step 4: Pour in the mould and cover

The methods shown serve educational purposes. The recipes are not necessarily fit to make buildings from it but act as a starting point into the world of inorganic chemistry and geopolymers. They can be used to develop building materials. Please note that a formulation which can be commercially exploited is keept a secret by the companies and would be extremely expensive.
