MTB Derbyshire: Jacob's ladder Circuit from Castleton

Описание к видео MTB Derbyshire: Jacob's ladder Circuit from Castleton

I always enjoy this circuit. It is a really decptive one as on paper it looks ok. Only about 17 miles but with some big climbs and some full on rocky descents this is very physically demanding (well for an old duffer like me). You always know youve done a good ride afterwards that's for sure. It was actuallt Marc that mentioned he was doing this one with Will and thought......be rude not to tag along :)

Rammed full of classic peak riding including Roych Clough, Jacob's Ladder, Hollns Clough oh and Rushup Edge, which, like a numpty, I forgot to record. Ah well. it's not like I havent done a fair few times!

If anyone watches this video (actually.... I could leave it there!) with the thought of visiting the Peak District for a ride and you are uncertain what to do.... I would strongly recommend it, It is ideal all year round and really will give you a good experience of the riding in the area. It is however a tough one, physically the climb from Hayfield to Jacob's alone can break you a little (unless you're on one of those new fangled battery operated chariots). It is also very challenging riding, always loads of loose rocks and some pretty steep sections. Marc's crash on jacob's highlights how even experienced riders can be caught out. I would also say it is a tough one on the bike for obvious reasons. Still do not let any of those things put you off it is VERY rewarding!
