The menu music has the familair acoustic guitar theme of Metro 2033 original, in a post-apocalyptic, laid-back feel, but now it adds a lot more background ambient depth with voices of people talking in the background, as well as animals, train noises, and a lot more activity with dialog, as well as the sounds of the underground metro and daily life. This music embodies the very essence of the post-apocalyptic dystopian sci-fi game music genre.

Metro Redux is a remastered version of Metro 2033, released in 2014, featuring updates to the 4A Engine from the development of Metro: Last Light. It has graphical changes with improved lighting, animations, particle effects, and dynamic weather. It also has some gampeplay changes as well with improved controls, combat, stealth mechanics, and artificial inteligence, as well as new gameplay features. It is still a first-person survival horror video game. It combines action gameplay, combined with a scary, horry element and dysatopian post-apocolytpic world. You get to enjoy combat, customize weapons and loadouts, buy and sell for parts and ammunition, and weaponry, and interact with characters.
