How to Master Television: Shonda Rhimes Screenwriting Tips

When it comes to screenwriting tips, Shonda Rhimes is definitely the person to speak on writing for television. I completed her screenwriting course on MasterClass and over the years I have gone back to the course multiple times for inspiration as well as to refresh what I think I know about the art of writing a script.

In this video, I’ll share 5 things that I learned from the Shonda Rhimes Masterclass. I made plenty notes, and could have made this video a lot longer, however, if you're on the fence about investing in the course, then hopefully my brief look inside will give you the clarity you need with regards to the decision you ultimately feel you should make.

I learned a lot about story, but also character. A huge takeaway was that you need someone for the main character to be able to talk to, and someone who can point out what the main character is doing wrong.
