In this lesson, pupils are taught 2 skills which are writing and listening/speaking.
For writing, pupils are being introduced to coordinating conjunctions (FANBOYS) and reference pronouns. Later, they have to match sentences / phrases to form correct sentences based on the coordinating conjunctions and reference pronouns they have learnt. After that, they are guided to the concept of paragraphs (beginning, middle and end) which they have to rearrange the sentences to form correct paragraphs.
For listening activity, pupils are introduced to some related words. Then, they are given information in which they have to do a role-play based on the examples using the information given.
At the end, pupils recall what they have learnt and finally they sing a FANBOYS song.
