With direct oversight and hands-on assistance of trained fire fighters, the BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety & Clean Water filmed a controlled boat burn in a land-lot designated by the fire department in order to:

-Educate boaters about the common causes of boat fires
-Emphasize the importance of prevention and early detection
-Demonstrate the proper handling of an onboard fire
