Steve Rohr is a widely-recognized Communication expert, speaker, bestselling author and educator.


Notably, he is the Show Publicist for the Academy Awards®, spearheading the worldwide publicity for the telecast, broadcast live in 225 countries and territories.


Along with his seasonal role with the Oscars®, Steve is a popular Communication media expert in the US and Canada. Stateside, he’s made multiple appearances on “WGN Morning News” (WGN-TV, Chicago) and “CT Style” (ABC 8, New Haven/Hartford). He’s a regular guest on Canada’s #1 national daytime TV talk show “The Social” (CTV) and #1 national breakfast program “The Morning Show” (Global TV). Additionally, he’s appeared on “Good Morning Britain” (ITV).


On radio, he’s been a guest on SiriusXM (Wharton School of Business), KABC-AM TalkRadio 790 (Los Angeles), CHUM-FM 104.5 (Toronto), CIUT-FM 98.5 (Toronto), CJAD-AM 800 (Montreal) and SiriusXM Canada. Currently, Steve is the “go-to Communication expert” for “The Night Side” hosted by Barb DiGiulio on CFRB-AM Newstalk 1010 (Toronto).

As a corporate trainer, Steve has coached 9 international finalist teams for XPrize (e.g. ANA, Brita, Caterpillar and Lowe’s). His client roster includes Mackenzie Investments in Canada and one of the largest privately held banks in the US.


Steve co-authored the bestselling how-to book “Scared Speechless: 9 Ways to Overcome Your Fears and Captivate Your Audience” (Career Press, 2016), which won a 2016 Foreword Reviews “Book of the Year” Award (Self-help). He’s taught Communication and PR on several Southern California campuses including California State Long Beach, Loyola Marymount University, MiraCosta College, Rio Hondo College and Saddleback College.


He graduated magna cum laude from Concordia College with a B.A. in Communication, Political Science and Art and serves on the National Alumni Board. Steve earned an M.A. in Communication from Arizona State University. A Canadian/American, he splits his time between Los Angeles and Toronto.
