Ugadi (Ugādi, Samvatsarādi, Yugadi, #Ugadi ) is the New Year's Day for the Hindus of Karnataka, Telengana and Andhra Pradesh.

There will be a mega celebration during the festival with a special bath followed by an oil massage, wearing new clothes, drawing colorful rangoli, making and sharing special food called pachadi, decorating main doors and puja mandapam with fresh mango leaves and neem branches, visiting temples and observing charity.
