Part 2 of my overview and review of the Tascam UH-7000 audio interface. In this video I demonstrate the mic preamp and user interface of the middle ware that is included with the device. Utilizing a Neumann TLM 103 as the testing microphone we can get a pretty good idea of the capabilities that the Tascam UH 7000 offer to a prospective buyer.

I go through all of the effects that are available - compressor, noise supressor, de-esser, exciter, eq, limiter, low-cut, and reverb - in the mixer, both with the multi-track and stereo mix modes.

I was informed that there was a problem with the audio of the first version of this....and indeed there was. I had - due to unfamiliarity - in OBS failed to properly configure the audio outputs ... I had 'hidden' the webcam mic instead of not only correctly disabling it in the settings but also setting it up in the first place. What I had done was to create a new source within a scene instead of utilizing one of the default available in the audio settings...rookie mistake.

Thankfully, Lo, of Lo Knows...sort of, noted an odd dual phasing (his experience as a voice over professional telling) and he was able to point to a likely candidate. I followed up and immediately pulled the original and then re-created the production from scratch with the audio correctly configured.
