A review of the Kotobukiya Mega-man X Full Armor. Also known as the Light Armor or 1st Armor.
Bandai doesn’t make Master Grades anymore, so… uh… I also like Mega-man games. So, here’s this!

Production notes for me to look over later, but by all means, take a skim.
Really aimed for a B+ effort here. Wanted something quick and easy, and for the most part, it was. I did end up going to EVO (a fighting game tournament) in the middle though, and that sort of threw me off. I went 3-2 btw. Pretty stoked I ended up with a winning record given how rusty I am. Part of me wants to set up a room and see if any of you guys want to play some SF6. Let me know in the comments if you're interested.
This video feels really sloppy for some reason. I just haven’t been focused recently. Not sure what’s up. Even knowing I wasn't going to be on my A game here, I still think I could've done better. There's bound to be a few mistakes here that I'm just not seeing, but will probably notice if I rewatch this in 2 weeks.
Because of that gap for EVO, I kind of don't remember making most of this lol. ...may also be the hard partying in Vegas lol If I remember correctly, I had finished 90% of it before leaving, and was even about to upload it (made mention on my Twitter/X), but decided instead of rushing it, I'd just wait until I got back to finish it right.
If I remember correctly, I shot the video footage first, but then held off on the stills until I had a script. That’s what got me into trouble with the Zeta ver KA video, so really tried to fix the production order this time around.
The script was weird, as I wanted to really speed this one up. I made lots of little changes, like no intro, trimming the recaps, etc. Still think I repeat myself too much, and my sentence structure is very monotonous. Probably goes back to how off-and-on this one was, so I never really noticed how many times I repeated certain word orders. The original audio for this has an extra 4 minutes, btw. But I cut it because I didn't have the footage to match or it was just making the video too long. Maybe I could add it back in if I ever need to re-upload.
I really like skipping the scores and instead just combining that recap with the post-score recap. Just get it down to a single ending recap. I also used different shots for the recap rather than a montage of generic shots. Really happy with it, though the added stuff about the price made the outro a little too long anyway. RIP. Still, I'd like to use this in the next Gundam review.
I bought that remote for the camera, so I never had to actually touch the camera after it was set up! This helped tremendously with the static shots. The slider footage still required some cropping, but it was a great improvement from having to press ‘record’ on the camera every time. That would cause micro adjustments that are very visible in 4K and with a background. Happy to have that fixed.
The audio sounds weird to me. Idk why. I didn't go back over it trim the pops and clicks either. Honestly just didn't feel like it lol
All the footage was either slightly under or over exposed. Very annoying to fix, but I think I got everything about at the same level.
The color filter here was weird. I’ve noticed I’ve started toning down the color filter, and I do think it looks better. I did have the hardest time with the whites of this kit though. It always came off too ‘hot.’ Lots of lowering the highs/whites to compensate. Regardless, I think things are looking pretty alright.
I’m not sure what else to put here, as I honestly don’t remember making most this video. So here’s Ice Brain from Zero 2 • Megaman Zero 2: Ice Brain
