Cheap Jeep Wrangler JK Stubby Bumper Replacement

Описание к видео Cheap Jeep Wrangler JK Stubby Bumper Replacement

Our third time on the trail at Kansas rocks recreation park proved that we were starting to push our limits. Push was an overstatement but for us we were pushing. This time out we got some rub rash and some dents that needed to be fixed. We scrapped a nice tree along the Jeep Wrangler and we tried to move a tree with the front bumper and the tree won. I like to tell my wife we got into a fender bender!

We are not sure where the dent came from or at what point but we noticed in the afternoon that the pretty jeep jk was starting to get some badge marks.

Our plan is to change out the stock bumper for a steel bumper soon and we really like the poison spyder bruiser but right now is not the best time. However later in the evening; siting around the camp fire on of our club members mentioned that he had just cut off the ends of his stock bumper and put on stubby caps from Vertically Driven Products for about $60. We thought this was a great idea!! It gave us more clearance now and made it look better.
Once home we ordered these from amazon and they got here the next day! Love amazon shipping!

Putting on the stubby bumpers is not hard with the correct tools. It is required to have a reciprocating saw or you could do this by hand, but it would be quite difficult.

Cutting through the steel is the hardest part on the original bumper but once that is done, everything else is just a few drill holes and putting in place holders. It’s all simple!

Once complete the new look is much better. Also, we have been wheeling now twice with the stubby bumper and it has proven to be a better setup. Turns are a bit easier we rarely ever hit the front bumpers on any rocks. Also, just gives us a lot better angles to approach from now.

Rugged Ridge also makes these but found these to be about the same!
